WHAT WE DO
Independent, Standards-Informed Roof Diagnostics
Our work is focused entirely on diagnosis — not selling repair work.
We do not install roofs, supply products, or carry out rectification works. This separation allows us to provide clear, objective assessments that clients can trust, because our recommendations are not influenced by the outcome.
Every inspection, from Brisbane to Perth to Melbourne and Sydney, is grounded in practical roofing knowledge gained over 30+ years in the industry and informed by relevant industry standards, including Standards Australia SA HB39:2015 Installation Code for Metal Roofing and Wall Cladding and Design and Australian Standards AS 1562.1:2018 Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding, AS/NZS 1170.2 – Structural Design Actions – Wind Actions, AS/NZS 3500 – Plumbing & Drainage (stormwater related to roof drainage) and AS 2050:2018 – Installation of Roof Tiles for tiled roof inspections. We routinely reference these standards alongside manufacturer specifications — including the Lysaght Roofing & Walling Installation Manual and the various BlueScope Technical Bulletins— when assessing roof sheet protective coating and thickness, rib geometry and depth, spans, fixings, overhangs, flashings, penetrations, drainage design, and overall system performance.
This approach ensures our findings reflect not only what is visible, but how the roof should be performing in real-world conditions.
Evidence-Based Condition Assessments
Roof failures rarely occur suddenly. Issues related to corrosion, sealant breakdown, restricted drainage, and non-compliant workmanship typically develop slowly and remain unnoticed until they lead to leaks, safety risks, or significant asset damage.
Our Inspections are Designed to Identify Root Causes Early — Not Just Symptoms Later.
We assess performance, compliance risk, and long-term durability, then provide prioritised recommendations supported by detailed photographic evidence and practical commentary. Each finding can be clearly understood, verified, and acted upon with confidence.
The resulting reports are routinely used to:
-
plan preventative maintenance
-
evaluate repair proposals
-
scope rectification works
-
assess contractor recommendations
-
support insurance and risk management decisions
-
inform capital planning
The goal is clarity: an accurate picture of current roof conditions and future risks.
Supporting Intelligent Decisions Across the Asset Lifecycle
We provide inspections across all stages of a building’s life — from new construction through to ageing asset management.
Services commonly support:
-
property purchases and due diligence
-
verification of completed installations or rectification works
-
safety compliance and duty-of-care obligations
-
leak investigations and drainage performance reviews
-
pre-solar installation suitability assessments
-
storm and impact damage insurance claims
-
medium- and long-term maintenance planning
Each inspection is tailored to the building type, roof system and the client’s objectives. There is no one-size-fits-all checklist — only targeted assessments aligned with the decisions that need to be made.
Clear Reporting. Effective Outcomes.
Our reports are structured to function as working documents for owners, facility managers, insurers, and contractors.
Findings are documented in a highly defensible, standards-referenced manner. Risks and issues are explained in plain language. Recommendations are prioritised to support practical next steps rather than theoretical ideals.
Clients receive more than a condition summary — they receive a decision-making tool.
The outcome is clarity, and confidence that actions are based on accurate, independent, and technically grounded information.
